Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Rhode Island Department of Administration, Department of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance is seeking qualified architectural and engineering firms to provide design for abatement and demolition of five state buildings located on the Pastore Campus in Cranston, RI. Design services will include but not limited to, architectural structures, foundations, underground tunnels mechanical, electrical, plumbing services, fire alarm, BMS controls Underground utilities, including storm, sewer, water. Utilize the available existing documents and undertake inspections and testing to develop a complete hazardous material survey for each building and develop separate survey report and abatement bid documents for each building. The pre- demolition hazardous materials surveys must meet all applicable state and federal regulatory requirements. Including the following: 1.) 1.) Suspect asbestos materials. Building materials, finish materials and equipment that contain asbestos. Complete inspections using destructive investigation methods as necessary and collect samples for laboratory analysis for materials suspected of containing asbestos. Quantify materials that contain asbestos. Provide one (1) asbestos inspection report and (1) asbestos abatement plan for each building that clearly identify the locations and quantities of materials that contain asbestos and sample location drawings that identify where samples were collected.
