Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. The Trucks currently in operation by IDFG are twenty two (22) years old, and have exceeded their useful life expectancy. Maintenance and repair costs have increased extensively over the last few years. Continuing to operate these Trucks has become a safety concern to IDFG staff, as well as a concern to the safety of the fish being transported. In addition to the needed Trucks, IDFG will be conducting a solicitation for the fabrication and installation of fish tanks and associated life support systems (Tanks). It is anticipated that the fabrication/installation of the Tanks is expected to take 8-12 months to complete. In order to provide as much detail as possible with regard to Tank specifications, IDFG will need to identify the Truck make & model at the time of the Tank solicitation. IDFG has identified a vendor who meets the minimum specifications per ITB20221685. The vendor has stated that the first Truck would be delivered to IDFG no later than June 30, 2023. The remaining two (2) Trucks would be delivered to IDFG no later than July 31, 2023. At this time, IDFG is requesting DOP approval for the Exemption From Competition for the purchase of three (3) Trucks to be utilized in support of the Fisheries Management Plans and Stocking Programs.
