Specifications include, but are not limited to: Construction of six Super Stops near downtown Indianapolis (100' long, 9" high platforms, with railings around perimeter, ticket vending machines, real time signs, electrical work). Also includes pavement resurfacing, bus pads, and minor traffic signage. This project consists of two distinct traffic-related components. The first component is the installation/reconfiguration of pedestrian push buttons at signalized intersections along the Red Line BRT with Audible Pedestrian Signals (APS). Some of the intersections are specified to have Base Broadcasting Units (BBU’s), to reduce impact to the built environment. The second component is the installation of a mix of static and LED-inlayed, solar powered flashing warning signage (both ground mounted) at several intersections along Capitol Avenue. Construction Inspection The Vendor shall provide daily construction inspection services to coordinate all contract construction items and related construction activity within the project areas. The tasks will include, but will not be limited to, the following: • Provide full-time inspection services to administer and oversee all construction activities through the duration of the projects. • Coordinate work with contractors, subcontractors, utility companies, utility crews, and other stakeholders. • Ensure work is completed in accordance with the contract documents. • Document any changes according to IPTC change management procedures, including developing independent cost estimates (ICEs) for each change. • Maintain accurate Daily Field Reports (DFR) to document daily work, work items and quantities. The DFR shall include, but not be limited to, IndyGo project number, the street name & project location, name of the inspector, contractors, subs and visitors on site, date, daily work summary, work item names and quantities, weather conditions, and all associated drawings and measurements. • Maintain master quantity list. • Review and document daily traffic control and erosion control practices to ensure compliance with City standards and contract documents. • Ensure ADA compliance during and after construction. • Coordinate and track shop drawing reviews with the design team and the general contractor to ensure timely responses. • Work with the Owner and Designer of Record to issue field orders, requests for proposal, construction change directives, change orders and other change management documents as needed. • Maintain a change management log (CML). Facilitate regular meetings with IndyGo staff to monitor and manage change and project budget(s).
