Specifications include, but are not limited to: Clemson University is seeking to establish a new contract for a comprehensive Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program for various locations at Clemson University. IPM is a process for achieving long-term, environmentally sound pest suppression and prevention through the use of a wide variety of technological and management practices. It is the intent of this contract to provide a comprehensive Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program for various locations within Clemson University including but not limited to Housing, Facilities, and Dining Services on the Clemson University main campus in Clemson, SC as well as local off-campus buildings. The awarded Contractor must provide services within the requirements of all laws, regulations, and best practices and meet the General Housing Guidelines in so doing. Insurance coverage is to be provided in accordance with requirements within this document, at a minimum. IPM is a process, a planned program, for long-term pest suppression. The process is based on surveillance and interpretation of data to estimate the pest population in a given area. This monitoring allows accurate decisions to be made on items such as, what control measures are needed, the type of control measure(s) selected, and the method of application. Control practices in an IPM program must extend beyond the application of pesticides to predominantly include structural and procedural modifications which establish physical barriers to pests and reduce the food, water, and harborage available to them. All physical barrier modifications recommended are to be reported to the appropriate Clemson representative for the area. The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, tools, personnel, and equipment necessary to accomplish the monitoring, trapping, pesticide application, pest removal, and pest prevention components of this IPM program. Any ladders scaffolding/or lifts must be provided by the contractor. Treatment should include spaying around the exterior of buildings 2 ft. at the base of the wall at the building vertically x 2ft. horizontally at building ground level. This includes 6” diameter spray around floor drains, mechanical rooms, air handler rooms & pipe chase. Treatment may include up to 60lf. vertical around the exterior of buildings. The treatment Schedule is listed in Appendix B – Bidding Schedule Buildings List with treatment services listed as monthly, twice a month, or quarterly.
