Specifications include, but are not limited to: The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is seeking bids for the purchase of Quantity 2 of 2’-9” Precast Curb Panel and quantity 5 of 15’-0” Precast Deck Panel per specifications herein. 1. Concrete must be equal or greater than 6,000 psi compressive strength at 28 days. 2. Reinforcing steel may be A609 or A706. 3. Supplier shall deliver slabs to The State of South Carolina DOT - District 6 Bridge Inspection 2695 Rourk Street NORTH CHARLESTON SC 29405. Slabs shall be blocked up to facilitate lifting with slings/rigging and SCDOT will unload. 4. Winning bidder may omit the "v notch" shown in Section 1-1 and cast all slabs and curbs with vertical sides. 5. Stabs must be "square" and no side shall have a horizontalsweep greater than 1/8". Slabs and curbs must "fit up "regardless of the order in which they are set. 6. All elements shall be handled such that they are never placed in reverse bending. Slabs are only designed to resist loading in one direction. 7. Slabs shall be free of cracking, spalls, honeycombing or other defects. 8. Supplier shall provide SCDOT with 24 hours' notice prior to pouring concrete so that SCDOT can verify reinforcing. SCDOT may, or may not, elect to review steel prior to pour. 9. Supplier shall provide SCDOT with any and all concrete cylinder break information. At a minimum this shall include 2 cylinders broken at 28 days showing that minimum compressive strength has been reached. SCDOT will not require any additional cylinders for independent testing. 10. SCDOT will supply all required hardware not imbedded into the slabs. (i.e. 7/8" Plate, 3" angles, and threaded rod)
