All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: • The area to be renovated is approximately 75,000 sf • Replace finishes: flooring, lighting, drop ceilings, painting. Interior finishes will be selected from the pallet of WVU standard finishes. Finishes will be selected in coordination with WVU’s Interior Design Manager and project stakeholders • Create all-gender restroom and lactation room • Update outdated restrooms to extent budget allows • Renovate kitchenettes on two floors • Minimal space reconfiguration: reconfigure walls and door relocations to improve space layout in select areas • Add research observation technologies in certain areas • Update the general-purpose classrooms per WVU standards, including AV technology (priced as alternate) • Interior and exterior signage updates per WVU standards • Renumbering the building • Exterior repairs to façade (priced as alternate) • Upgrade data cabling in building to Cat 6A (priced as alternate) • Add infrastructure rough in and wiring for new security camaras per WVU standards for “core” layout. WVU will purchase and install cameras • Deferred maintenance items: upgrade the elevator, fire alarm systems, new electronic locks, minimal HVAC work, and rekeying the locks based on new departmental configurations. • Rebalance overall HVAC system and replace outdated systems in computer labs. o WVU intends to update software platform in Siemen’s controls as Ownercontracted work • New furniture within the building • ADA improvements at exterior entrances, including path from the rear entrance to parking lot • No renovations required in large, tiered -lecture halls 458/459
