Specifications include, but are not limited to: Compilation and Printing of 2023 Edition of the North Dakota Workers’ Compensation Law Book: 1. Compilation: Services to compile, annotate and index North Dakota Century Workers’ Compensation Laws and all enacted legislation resulting from the 2023 legislative session to prepare a publication. a. The publication must be substantially similar in format, font size, and ease of use to previous editions, samples of which may be requested by contacting the Procurement Officer. b. A concise and easy to navigate format is required. c. The sections of law should be easy for non-counsel staff and/or laypersons to locate. d. The publication must provide for well-organized annotations for the legal staff with updated Supreme Court decisions. e. The book must include succinct and space-saving annotations and research references. f. Successful bidder must prepare a Table of Contents. g. Successful bidder must prepare Cover Page and preface. h. Successful bidder must prepare accurate and complete index, including new and updated additions to the Index generated by WSI. Successful bidder must incorporate new additions into existing Index. This includes having the successful vendor removing the Notes of Decisions material or other Indexes to accommodate the State of North Dakota’s preferences. 2. Artwork: Successful bidder shall be responsible for securing current and applicable codes from the North Dakota Legislative Council in a form available to bidder. Any modification and/or alterations required shall be the responsibility of the bidder. 3. Proof: No proof required. Successful bidder is responsible for completeness and accuracy of formatted work. See warranty language in the section titled “Special Terms and Instructions”, Item 13, page 6 of bid. 4. Finished Size: 6-3/4” x 10”. 5. Number of Pages: The 2021 edition contained 247 pages. The number of pages in the 2023 edition should be estimated at 256 pages but, will be dependent upon the changes enacted. A signature size of 16 pages is being assumed by the State. Smaller page count signatures may be prorated. 6. Stock: a. Cover Stock: Fibermark®, Skivertex®17, kidskin finish, or equivalent cover material. (Color to be determined) b. Inside Pages Stock: 40# white, opaque offset, smooth finish. 7. Ink: a. Cover: Foil stamp front cover, spine and back cover. Front foil die is approximately 5”x8”; spine is ¼”x 8”; back cover is optional. (Foil color to be determined after cover material color has been determined.) Inside of covers are to be blank. b. Inside Pages: Print 1/1, black ink, two sides. 8. Binding/Finishing: Fold, collate, hinge score front and back covers, perfect bind, trim. 9. Packaging: Package in uniformly sized cartons containing up to a maximum of thirty five (35) pounds. Label each box “2023 Edition of the North Dakota Workers’ Compensation Law” and the quantity contained in each carton. 10. Bid is All or NONE.
