This is a firm fixed price Request for Quote (RFQ) for construction services prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13 and Part 36, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) 140P4321Q0040, Replace Culverts and Bridge, Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument, Penobscot County, Maine. FAR clauses and provisions enclosed within this RFQ are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2021-05 dated March 10, 2021 and are available in full text through Internet access at http://www.acquisition.gov/far/.
This procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The Small Business Administration Size Standard for NAICS Code 237310, Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction and the small business size standard is $39.5million.
The scope of this contract is to provide all tools, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation and materials necessary to fully replace a culvert system to full working order and remove one existing bridge and replace it with a structure adequately sized for Atlantic salmon passage.
The location of the work is Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument, Penobscot County, Maine.
The onsite period of performance is August 9, 2021 to September 30, 2021.
Department of Labor Construction Wage Rate General Decision Number: ME20210031 shall apply.
The order of magnitude for this project is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000.
Interested parties are strongly encouraged to inspect site prior to quoting. An organized site visit is scheduled, information can be found in FAR 52.236-27, SITE VISIT. A Pre-proposal conference is not planned. Electronic quote shall be accepted for this Request for Quotation. Facsimile quotes shall not be accepted. Quotes shall be emailed to cheryl_maison@nps.gov by the due date of July 30, 2021 at 5:00PM local prevailing time.
