Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of work is to provide materials and labor for improvements on Chelsea Street, Creek Street, and Whittington Avenue. On Chelsea Street and Creek Street the project includes installing sidewalks, drainage, curb, guttering, and ADA ramps where needed. These improvements will improve safety by moving pedestrians out of the vehicle traffic lanes. The project on Whittington Avenue includes nine (9) small rain gardens along the northside of the 300-700 block. The rain gardens shall be placed at either side of the street intersections and will help to reduce vehicle speeds near crossings. The rain gardens will also reduce, filter, and regulate stormwater runoff. The City of Hot Springs reserves the right to award the sections that are within the budget available for the project.
