Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Vermont Agency of Education seeks a consultant in the development of a short-term statewide program to support educators and staff seeking licensure through the Peer Review program. The Contractor will consult with the AOE Education Quality Division to implement a structured support program working directly with Vermont educators and their employing district. The program should include academic and theoretical instruction for the Peer Review portfolio, as well as practical and pedagogical supports in the classroom in real time. Measures of success will include an improvement in completion and approval rates of portfolios for participating candidates. Contractors will also be asked to assess long-term sustainability and impact on PK-12 students of this model of pre-service training. Services to be provided by the Contractor will include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Collaborate with participating districts to ensure school-based mentoring of Peer Review candidates. 2. Ensure candidates understand the Vermont Core Teaching Standards and expectations of the VLP format and provide additional writing supports as needed. 3. Provide endorsement specific supports as needed. 4. Facilitate a cohort model of support that allows candidates to seek feedback from peers. 5. Provide additional supports around Praxis testing, as needed. 6. Provide additional supports for candidates placed on a Plan of Action, as needed. 7. Prepare and submit a final report by September 30, 2024 for the Agency of Education summarizing the outcomes of the program for both candidates and PK-12 students, as well as recommendations for future programing.
