Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University is soliciting Proposals from licensed, qualified Brokers to provide health insurance plan administration, brokerage and consulting services in the areas of health-plan design; marketing and placement of insurance, including issuance of Requests For Proposals; administration of contracts; acting as a liaison between the University and insurance carriers; setting up and transmitting member eligibility between the campus and carriers, collecting and distributing premiums, and working as an advocate for the University and their students with respect to claims submitted under the SHIP. The Broker selected shall have demonstrated the ability to structure plan options appropriate for the current needs of the University’s students. The Broker shall provide a full range of services related to the acquisition, implementation, maintenance, administration, communication, and improvement of the SHIP for the University.
