Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1.1 Testing and inspection should also conform to any applicable fire codes and system should be able to pass inspection by the State Fire Marshal. 2.1.2 An annual inspection and tests shall be done to ensure the equipment is in good operating condition. 2.1.3 Records of Testing and inspection of the sprinkler system and its components shall be made available for the State Fire Marshal if requested. 2.2 Testing 2.1.4 Vendor shall test all components and systems to verify they function as intended. 2.1.5 Fire protection system components shall be restored to full operational condition following testing utilizing the parts markup multiplier and hourly rate agreed upon herein. 2.1.6 Water supplies including fire pumps shall remain in service. 2.1.7 Test results shall be compared with those of the original acceptance test (if available) and with the most recent test results. 2.1.8 Valves and fire department connections shall be inspected. 2.1.9 When inspecting, sprinklers shall not show signs of leakage: shall be free of corrosion, foreign materials, paint and physical damage and shall be installed in the proper orientation. 2.1.10 Any sprinkler showing any of the signs listed shall be replaced utilizing the parts price and hourly rate agreed upon herein. 2.1.11 Unacceptable obstructions to spray patterns shall be corrected. 2.1.12 Pipe and fittings shall be in good condition and free of mechanical damage, leakage, corrosion and misalignment. 2.1.13 Flow tests shall be made at flows representative of those expected during a fire. 2.1.14 Any flow test results that indicate deterioration of available flow and pressure shall be investigated to the complete satisfaction of The State Fire Marshal. 2.1.15 Pressure readings shall be recorded at the highest, most remote discharge device. 2.1.16 A sample report is included with bid. This report, or one similar, shall be submitted upon request for review by the State Fire Marshal. 2.1.17 Any requirement for Testing and inspection not listed shall be done in accordance with NFPA 25 and other applicable NFPA codes. 2.1.18 There are 71 locations that will need inspection and testing.
