Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Concord is seeking proposals for the long-term lease of approximately 57 acres of agricultural land, (“Leased Area”) consisting mainly of prime agricultural soils. The prospective tenant may utilize the Leased Area for commercial agricultural purposes, including the raising of crops (such as vegetables), grain (such as corn, rye, etc.) and/or hay, sod, nursery stock, and other agricultural uses acceptable to the City. The City is responsible for maintaining the property and wishes to facilitate the continuation of the agricultural use of the land by entering into a lease that is in keeping with the conservation purposes for which the land was purchased, including protection of prime agricultural soils, wildlife habitat, scenic open spaces, and passive recreational use of the property. The Leased Area is located off of Gully Hill Road in Concord, NH, as shown on the attached map in Exhibit A. The property currently remains available for pedestrian access for hunting, wildlife observation, hiking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and other similar transitory, low-impact, non-motorized, non-commercial outdoor recreational purposes, but not camping, by members of the public and in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations. The Merrimack River Greenway Trail is proposed to be constructed on the western portion of the property.
