Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Vermont Agency of Education (AOE) seeks proposals for individuals or groups to lead a student-centered Networked Improvement Community (NIC) based on improving mathematics instruction. With consultation from AOE colleagues, the Contractor will co-design the structure, goals, theory of improvement, change ideas, and measures for this NIC. The Contractor will provide hybrid, in-person and online professional learning and coaching to network participants related to using evidence-based practices to improve mathematics instruction utilizing the principles of improvement science. Contractor(s) will work with Vermont Agency of Education (AOE) professionals to plan and deliver VIRTUAL ongoing professional learning, including sessions in the following areas (identified as priorities in focus group and survey results): 1. Engaging students in relevant, meaningful, and authentic tasks 2. Teacher and student growth mindset and effort attribution 3. Use of formative assessments to provide meaningful feedback and adjust instruction The Contractor(s) will provide 25 professional learning hours and approximately 10 hours for coaching calls to accommodate inquires of educators as they apply learning in practice.
