Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Laconia Department of Public Works is seeking proposals from qualified companies for highway striping services. The City estimates the need for approximately 175,000 linear feet of double yellow centerline and 200,000 linear feet of single white edge line annually. 3. Striping footage is approximately 175,000 linear feet of double yellow centerline and 200,000 linear feet of single white edge line but the City reserves the right to reduce or expand the footage requirements. 4. The successful contractor is to supply and install the pavement markings according to the State of New Hampshire Department of Transportation 2016 Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction Section 632 Retro reflective Pavement Markings and Section 708 – Paint (Special Provision attached, by the Laconia Public Works Department). 5. Striping is to be accomplished during nighttime hours (10:00pm to 6:00am) to minimize the possibility of vehicular traffic interfering with striping operations or turning into newly painted traffic lines. 6. The contractor will be required to provide the proper equipment consistent with industry standard and only equipment listed on the State of New Hampshire’s approved equipment list will be allowed. 8. Contractor shall provide a list of equipment to be used on the project. This information shall be submitted with the proposal. Traffic Paint shall be ready-mixed white or yellow paint which may be used as a base for drop-on reflective glass beads for use as a plain non-reflective traffic paint suitable for either bituminous or concrete surfaces. White or yellow traffic paint shall meet the requirements of the current Department of Transportation specifications for White or Yellow Traffic Paint as specified in Section 708. Acceptable lots will be included on the Traffic Paint Batch List available at and maintained by the Bureau of Materials and Research. Final acceptance will be subject to testing of materials sample at the project. Each batch of paint delivered to the project shall be accompanied by a document issued by the supplier identifying the manufacturer, product, batch number and date of manufacture.
