Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. At Western Regional Jail and Correctional Facility, there are four (4) 80-pound commercial washers-extractors that must be replaced with new 105-pound commercial washers-extractors. Additional information on the project is listed below. B. Existing commercial washer-extractors information: 1. There are four (4) commercial washer extractors that are manufactured by Alliance Laundry Systems, Unimac: a. Unimac, Model #: UW80PVQU70001 b. Each machine operates off of a 208-volt, 3-phase, 60-amp disconnect, at 60 hertz. c. The existing are rated at 80-pound. d. Each machine is setting on a concrete pad that is attached to the concrete. The new commercial washers must be fastened to the concrete floor. The contractor must remove the existing mounting screws and install new in the concrete pads for the new equipment. e. The main hot and cold-water pipes that feeds water is an estimated one and half (1.5”) inches. At each washer, there is a rubber hose that is connected to each machine and is an estimated three quarter (3/4”) inch. Vendor must install a new rubber hose to the new commercial washer extractors. Any modifications that must be done to install the new commercial washer extractors, will be the contractor’s responsibility and will be required to do. f. The machines are gravity feed with a drain that is an estimated 3” that goes to through the concrete pad to a floor trough. g. ECO Labs provides the chemical provider for the machines. The vendor must coordinate with ECO Labs to have them remove the existing chemical equipment and connections and then reinstalled. g. The electric for each machine is feed from an electric panel to a 30- amp, non-fused disconnect. Contractor must use the existing disconnect switches and electrical wiring. 2. The contractor must disconnect all equipment connections. This includes but not limited to water, electric, etc. 4. The vendor must reconnect all equipment connections. This includes but not limited to water, electric, etc. 5. Any modifications not stated above that must be done for the installation of the new equipment, the contractor is responsible for accounting for in their bid. The contractor will be responsible for making any additional modifications. There will not be a change order issued for additional modifications. 6. The contractor will be responsible for supplying any equipment, labor and operator needed to unload, stage, store. remove and install equipment and materials. 7. The contractor must dispose of the existing commercial washer extractors and accessories that are removed. The only items the facility may want to keep is the existing rubber water hoses because they are new. All equipment and materials removed are the property of the contractor.
