Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Alaska Division of Forestry and Fire Protection (DOF) is requesting bids from prospective contractors for the development of a fuel break located approximately 2 miles west of the community of Delta Junction, Alaska. Successful contract performance will require the contractor provides all the essential equipment/operators and, lodging/transportation to and from the site. The intent of this winter project is to create a 300’ wide linear fuel break by “roller-chopping” the entire site resulting in crushing/chopping all brush, shrubs and small trees. All vendor submissions for the Delta River West Fuel Break Phase 1b shall be subject to the requirements listed herein.
