Specifications include, but are not limited to: An inspector employed by a testing organization shall perform all tests. The inspector shall have a minimum of three years of experience in the field of inspection, and be familiar the United States Department of Labor (OSHA) Safety and Health Standards 29 CFR PART 1910.179 (Overhead and gantry cranes) and PART 1910.180 (Crawler locomotive and truck cranes). An inspector shall have mechanical and hydraulic experience with such aerial equipment and is trained and accredited in nondestructive examination (radiography, dye penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonics) as required for the specific equipment involved, according to ASNT-TC-1A or update. The person(s) performing all testing shall be certified as an ASNT Level II NDT. Proof of certification shall be required prior to testing. All inspections will be done between the hours of 6:00 a.m. (7:00 a.m. in winter months) and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday with a Saturday option, on City of Tucson premises, at the locations designated as per a pre-arranged schedule. The Contractor will furnish a recommended Operator Inspection Check List for weekly or monthly visual checks on each unit.
