Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Requirements The Body must be the latest model of the manufacturer's current standard production, as offered to commercial trade. Though they are not specifically covered herein, all parts necessary to provide complete and functional Body must be furnished. All parts must conform in design, strength, quality of materials, and workmanship to current engineering practices and accepted standards of the industry. All parts must be the manufacturer’s standard unless otherwise specified in this RFQ. All standard and supplemental equipment, must be installed per the manufacturer’s specifications, serviced and ready for continuous operation at the time of delivery, unless otherwise stated in this RFQ. B. Brand Name The brand name(s) specified in this solicitation are intended to be descriptive, but not restrictive; indicative of the quality and characteristics of items that meet the minimum requirements. Vendors offering an “equal” must include documentation, which demonstrates, to IDFG’s satisfaction, that the offered item(s) meets the requirement of the solicitation. In the event documentation is not satisfactory, IDFG reserves the right to seek clarification from the Vendor. Failure to provide satisfactory documentation or a clarifying response to IDFG may eliminate the Vendor from further consideration. C. Truck Service Body Specifications The Body is to be installed on a 2021 GMC Sierra 3500HD 4WD Crew Cab, dual rear wheel, and must meet the minimum following specifications. 1. Make & model – Nine (9) ft. Douglas Body model E4FT/23, or equal. 2. Must be constructed with corrosion resistant A60 galvannealed steel, fourteen (14) gauge body, ten (10) gauge floor. 3. Panel doors - Heavy duty fourteen (14) & eighteen (18) gauge double panel, with beveled edges. 4. Hinges - Stainless steel piano hinges, secured to body every two and a half (2.5) in. 5. Panel door supports - Gas struts on all vertical doors and flip-top toolbox lids. 6. Driver Side Front (DSF) - One (1) compartment at floor level. 7. Flip-top lids - only over horizontal compartments. 8. Bed from horizontal and rear compartments must be thirty six (36) in. heigh. 9. Lowered front compartments. 10. Raised front compartments-increased storage capacity of the compartment: raise Curbside Front (CSF) compartment to sixty (60) in. 11. Tapered work platform: work platform to be built with tapered sides, taper to facilitate trailer clearance as best as possible. 12. Round wheel well - heavy duty twelve (12) gauge, one-piece round wheel well reinforced with three quarter (3/4) in. split tube, circular wheel wells. 13. 3-point stainless steel latch system for model E4FT/23, four (4) vertical compartments as well as a lowered compartment, flip-tops, twenty three (23) in. compartment depth. Must have full contact strikers for positive locking to the body in three (3) places for maximum security. 14. Triple seal weather stripping for model E4FT/23 to protect tools and equipment from the elements. 15. Paint - acrylic urethane basecoat to match truck paint color. 16. Weight Certificate - certified weight certificate for DMV registration. 17. LED taillight package, grommet style, nine (9) diode white LED back-up, six (6) diode red stop/turn lights and three quarter (3/4) in. clearance lights package. 18. Headache rack 50/50 (tapered), must have “opening” so that the drive can see clearly through the rear window. 19. DSF compartment interiors, built at floor level for welder platform. 20. Driver side horizontal compartment interiors - mechanic tool drawer, heavy duty formed steel drawers w/dual snap latches for secure holding drawers and long-term durability. Roller slides, eighteen (18) in., heavy-duty, two hundred fifty (250) lb. capacity, stainless steel ball bearing roller-slides, compartment dividers DS/CSH. 21. Driver side rear compartment interiors, mechanic tool drawer, heavy duty formed steel drawers w/snap latches for secure holding drawers closed and long-term durability, roller-slides, eighteen (18) in., heavy-duty two hundred fifty (250) lb. capacity, stainless steel ball bearing roller-slides. 22. Curb side compartment interiors, Oxy Acetylene rings and clamps, heavy-duty steel rings with welded steel clamp for easy bottle replacement and secure storage, two (2) Oxy bottles and two (2) Acetylene bottles. 23. Hose holder, welding compartment, welded to compartment wall, heavy-duty welded steel construction, louvers, stainless steel, for compartment to allow explosive gas to ventilate in the event of a leak. 24. Curbside horizontal and rear compartment interiors, adjustable shelving (DRW), heavy-duty galvanized steel for corrosion resistance, shelves to be fully adjustable, mounted on rolled channel and secured with spring-nuts for easy adjustments 25. Body protection package - aluminum diamond plate overlay, aluminum caps placed on top of compartments and cover the drip edge of the body. Aluminum diamond plate rock splash guards on front of compartments to protect body. Arma-coat cargo area and raised front compartments up to sixty (60) in. tall per side. Underbody coating, black.
