Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. At Tygart Valley Regional Jail and Correctional Facility, there are two (2) existing hot waters heaters located in the central laundry room, E168. The hot water heaters are GWH-1E and GWH-2E. The contractor must remove the existing two (2) hot water heaters and replace with new. Additional information on the project is listed below. B. Hot water heaters located in the central laundry room on first floor in room E168: 1. Existing hot water tank and burner assembly information for the two (2) hot water heaters, GWH-1E and GWH-2E: a. The existing hot water heaters are manufactured by PVI and were installed in 2019. b. The model no. is 750 P 300A-TP. c. Serial Numbers: 1003111342 and 0514137921. d. Part No.: 153932-2 and 227170-1. e. The input Btu/h is 600,000 and 176 kW. f. The recovery rate from 40 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit in one hour is 750 gallons. g. The working pressure (hydrostatic test) is 150 PSI and 1,034 kPa. h. Storage capacity is 300 gallons. i. The hot water heater operates on natural gas. j. The minimum inlet gas pressure is 6.0” WC / 1,495 Pa. k. The maximum inlet gas pressure is 14.0” WC / 3,487 Pa. l. The manifold gas pressure is 3.4” WC / 847 Pa. m. The hot water heater electric is 120 volts, single phase, 60 hertz, and 10 amps. 2. New hot water heater requirements: a. Contractor must meet the requirements listed in specifications section or equal to what was previously specified above in specifications section 1.01(B), subsection 1 in addition to what is listed below in the specifications. b. Manufacturers: 1) Available Manufacturers: Manufacturer shall be a company specializing in manufacturing the products specified in this section with minimum twenty years’ experience. The water heaters shall be manufactured by a company that has achieved certification to the ISO 9001Quality Management System. 2) The water heaters shall be ETL listed as a complete unit. The heater shall satisfy current Federal Energy Policy Act standards for both thermal efficiency and stand-by heat losses as established for gas fired water heaters incorporating storage tanks. 3) The water heaters shall be ETL listed as a complete unit. The heater shall satisfy current Federal Energy Policy Act standards for both thermal efficiency and stand-by heat losses as established for gas fired water heaters incorporating storage tanks. 4) Manufacturers: PVI is the basis of design. Acceptable manufacturers shall be subject to compliance with the requirements.
