Specifications include, but are not limited to: Mesa Public Schools is seeking a 6-12 science core program(s) which includes: • a robust, scientific research-based program that incorporates A Framework for K-12 Science Education and the AzSS. • opportunities to plan and carry out several different kinds of investigations. They should engage in investigations that range from those structured by the teacher - in order to expose an issue or question that they would be unlikely to explore on their own (e.g., measuring specific properties of materials) - to those that emerge from students' own questions. • resources that address differentiation and appeal to students’ learning variabilities. • integrated technology that includes interactive tools, virtual manipulatives/objects, and/or dynamic software in ways that engage students in the grade-level standards, when applicable. Publishers are highly encouraged to submit ESSA ratings with submissions.
