Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State Department of Administration, Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance is seeking qualified architectural/engineering firms to provide design, estimating, and construction administration services for an exterior roof and envelope renovation project at the Arrigan Center building located in Providence, Rhode Island. The Arrigan Center building is listed on the historical register and all renovations will be required to comply with any requirements set forth by the Rhode Island Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission. The successful design will address the list of scope items as provided in section ‘B’ of this document. An outline schedule has been included in Section B, subsection IV of this document. In addition to a proposed project fee, vendors are requested to provide a milestone schedule with your bid to confirm that you can meet the schedule requirements of the design process. Although price may ultimately be the determining factor in selecting the awarded vendor, the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance reserves the right to reject any proposal containing a schedule that is deemed excessive by comparison to those of other vendors. It is important to stress that the timely completion of this project is of high importance to the State. The schedule proposed here-in has been provided to ensure that the work progresses in accordance with the needs and funding requirements of the State. In addition to a proposed project fee, vendors are requested to provide a milestone schedule with your bid to confirm that you can meet the schedule requirements of the design process. Key State agencies participating in this design effort shall include the Department of Administration, Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance, Department of Labor and Training, Office of Management and Budget, Office of Energy Resources, Department of Health, Office of the State Fire Marshal / Building Code Compliance, Governor’s Commission on Disabilities, and the RI Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission. Coordination services with all these State agencies is required of the selected team.
