The Department of Environmental Conservation, Division of Spill Prevention and Response is soliciting proposals from qualified professionals to conduct site characterization activities and related work. Please note, the City of Thorne Bay has information on local equipment and local HAZWOPER and CDL certified laborers and operators that may be available. Equipment that can locally be used include: 5 yard and 10-yard dump trucks (4), backhoe, compactor, excavator, Mini-Excavator, grader, front end loader, pressure washer, tandem axel trailer, and a welder, as available. Any such arrangements are not guaranteed by the State, and are between the Contractor and the City or other party.
