All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: The selected firm shall conduct analysis assignments for the Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) and the Corridor Development Office (CDO) to analyze selected corridors throughout the State. This work will include, but not be limited to, conducting feasibility analyses and Road Safety Assessments (RSA?s) and Corridor Assessments including varied traffic capacity and operations analyses. RSA?s and Corridor Assessments will follow the INDOT process; work elements may include: crash data evaluation, conduct limited traffic counts as directed by INDOT, collision diagrams and mapping, obtaining District provided location information including traffic count data, traffic signal timings and other related information, field investigation (coordinated with INDOT District and Central Office Staff), analysis of crash statistics, capacity analysis for locations or segments where congestion is identified by INDOT as a safety or mobility concern, input meeting with stakeholders to discuss preliminary recommendations, cost estimates associated with applicable countermeasures or corridor improvements and final report to include short (near) term improvements when appropriate, and long term (higher cost) corridor improvements to address mobility and safety concerns. Corridor analysis for mobility purposes will be conducted using the latest version available of SYNCHRO and the input files and output files will be provided by the selected firm to INDOT in electronic and printed formats. CDO assignments may involve traffic operations analysis, under current conditions and future years. Deliverables may also include the development of recommendations for alternative solutions or treatments, cost estimates for the alternative solutions or treatments and the development of project intent documents including graphics.
