Specifications include, but are not limited to: Gutters 1. Removal and disposal of current gutters and downspouts. 2. Furnish and install approximately one hundred twenty-six (126) linear feet of five-inch (5”) seamless steel gutters to match siding or trim color. 3. Furnish and install approximately thirty-nine (39) linear feet of 3”x4” steel downspouts. 4. Furnish and install approximately nine (9) linear feet of downspout extensions. 5. Seal gutter corners and inside strip miters as necessary. 6. Miscellaneous caulking, fasteners and sealants. 7. (Optional) Provide gutter screen option in pricing. Siding and Trim 1. Contractor is responsible for accurate measurements of all siding and trim. 2. Replace any damaged wood with plywood or similar and install house wrap before new siding is installed. 3. Furnish and install a prefinished James Hardie HardiePanel Cedarmill 16” Board&Batten, including all corners. Siding color desired is Gray Slate. 4. Cover and/or replace all soffit areas including canopy over front door with James Hardie Cedarmill nonvented soffit panels, desired color of Iron Gray. 5. Cover and/or replace all fascia areas including canopy over front door with James Hardie Rustic trim boards, desired color of Iron Gray. 6. Cover all window and door frames in new James Hardie Rustic trim boards, desired color of Iron Gray. The shelter is equipped with ten (10) windows and two (2) doors. Bidders will be expected to inspect and obtain all necessary measurements. 7. All paintable wood should be eliminated or covered. 8. Miscellaneous caulking, fasteners and sealants as needed. Page 3 of 11 Roof 1. Contractor is responsible for accurate measurements of all needed roof materials. 2. Inspect and notify SCP+R of any potential hazards prior to work commencement. 3. Remove existing layer(s) of composition shingles. 4. Inspect and replace decking as necessary and agreed upon after consultation with Shawnee County Parks + Recreation staff (provide pricing per sheet). 5. Furnish and install CertainTeed Landmark shingles. 6. Install approximately sixty-seven (67) linear feet of ridge cap shingles 7. Install approximately one hundred thirty-four (134) linear feet of starter strip shingles. 8. Install approximately twenty-two (22) square feet of synthetic underlayment. 9. Install approximately one hundred thirty-four (134) linear feet of gutter apron metal drip edging. 10. Install approximately seventy (70) linear feet style D gable metal drip edging. 11. Install approximately eight (8) linear feet step flashing at walls as needed. 12. Furnish and install new one-inch (1”) pipe flashing and rubber boot, quantity one (1). 13. Furnish and install new four-inch (4”) pipe flashing and rubber boot, quantity one (1). 14. Furnish and install new split boot pipe flashing, quantity one (1). 15. Furnish and install approximately sixty-seven (67) linear feet of ridge ventilation. PROJECT COMPLETION 1. Remove all debris, including running a magnet to pick up nails, leave site in a clean and orderly condition and repair any damage to property that is a direct result of the project. RESPONSES SHOULD INCLUDE 1. Firm Profile – Briefly describe your firm, indicating its size and years in business. 2. Staff Assignments – Provide vendor contact communications. 3. Guidelines – Exclusively-selected vendor must comply with all local, state and federal guidelines and regulations. 4. References – Provide names, addresses, telephone numbers and/or email addresses of appropriate contact persons for at least three (3) recent clients. 5. Firm’s Experience – Describe your firm’s experience providing/installing requested materials. 6. Manufacturer’s warranty for materials and vendor’s installation/workmanship warranty.
