Specifications include, but are not limited to: To utilize a drowning detective system (DDS) in sync with lifeguards as another preventative drowning tool that is readily at their disposal; Objectives: Expand and evolve how existing aquatics centers and pool safety programs are traditionally delivered (lifeguard only and without technology). Incorporate DDS use into safety procedures and operational processes. Take an innovative approach by implementing an electronic drowning detection system (DDS) to enhance how lifeguards monitor swimmers. Design specific and focused training to be delivered to lifeguards, Aquatics management and staff on the effective use of DDS technology. Assure the DDS is in compliance with City and IT standards, industry best practices, adheres to privacy laws.
