Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project involves reclaiming or crushing, regrading, compacting and to make general repairs to a portion of Madison Street in Talkeetna, Alaska. Project length is approx. 2,218 linear feet. The project access is off the Comsat Drive. See Attachment #1: Vicinity Map. Scope of Work Work items include: • Coordinate utility locates throughout project and do not disturb utilities during work. • Pulverize the road surface full-width to a minimum reclaimed depth of 4-inches below original grade. • Blend the crushed / reclaimed material and reincorporate it into the road to form a uniform surface and uniform width. Finished width shall match existing. • Recondition and grade uniformly with a 3% crown. • The material produced during crushing / reclaiming operations shall pass at least 95% through a 3” screen. Contractor shall verify the gradation meets this requirement during the operation. • Compact using moisture for density control to a minimum of 95% maximum density per ATM 213 and ATM 214. • Mobilize and demobilize equipment as necessary. • Provide construction warning signs and traffic control per MUTCD and the Alaska supplement. Submit temporary traffic control plans for approval. Warning signs may be placed on wind-jammers. • Bids submitted include materials, equipment, labor, subcontractors, fees, expenses and all other incidentals. • Estimated project magnitude is less than $25,000.
