Specifications include, but are not limited to: Conduct Mental Health Screening and Referrals: The successful offeror shall conduct mental health screenings for refugees 14 years and older using Refugee Health Screener-15 (RHS-15) or a combination of other mental health screening tools. The successful offeror shall conduct an intake interview with individuals and families to assess their need and understanding of mental health and assist with determining appropriate referrals to community-based mental health services, if needed. The successful offeror shall collect outcome measures at the intake interview and mental health screenings and periodically use them to measure the effectiveness of services.; Increase Mental Health Literacy: The successful offeror is required to incorporate evidence-based curriculum, such as, Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS) or Pathway to Wellness curriculum, throughout the education sessions. The successful offeror shall conduct pre- and post-assessment to gauge the level of knowledge gained by individuals and families and use the information to improve program services.; To increase mental health literacy, the successful offeror shall provide age-appropriate support and education to individuals and families to: Identify mental health needs/crises in the family. Identify cultural adjustment stages of resettlement. Navigate the mental health system and resources available in the community. Seek help and develop coping skills. Education and Outreach: The successful offeror shall provide education and outreach to increase awareness and eliminate mental health stigma in the refugee community. The successful offeror shall conduct outreach and education opportunities to mainstream mental health providers in the community who may be interested in working with refugee populations.; Encourage social engagement to reduce isolation: The successful offeror shall connect individuals and families to community and refugee wellness programs to help remove isolation and increase community engagement. These programs can include: Adjustment groups and peer support programs. Programs to support intergenerational activities. Opportunities for social and cultural activities. Foster community collaboration: The successful offeror shall coordinate with existing community and ethnic organizations, nonprofits, and mental health service providers to maximize benefits, avoid duplication of services, and share resources to create and fulfill the goals of the refugee mental health support program.; Reporting and Monitoring: The successful offeror will be required to provide semi-annual written program reports that include: Number of clients served. Number of mental health screenings conducted. Number of pre- and post-assessments conducted. Number of referrals made to a mental health provider.
