Specifications include, but are not limited to: Construct a complete new, 48’ X 24’, (1,152 Square Foot), 18’ sidewall, stand-alone post-frame structure on the existing site, complete with utilities, insulation, concrete floor, doors, windows and finishes as indicated. Reference New MultiPurpose Building drawings and Existing Classroom drawings by contacting Mike Ewald, (812) 430-2237 or mewald@evansvillefiredepartment.com. Local building permits and fees shall be obtained and paid for by the Contractor. Owner will provide State Construction Design Release. SITE WORK: • Remove existing gravel parking area, railroad tie headwalls and collapsed culvert. Replace with new concrete headwalls, new 8” diameter pipe culvert, compacted aggregate fill as required and new 6” thick reinforced concrete slab. (PROVIDE DEDUCT ALTERNATE BID FOR THIS WORK). • Excavate and saw-cut concrete curb as required to accommodate new construction. • Construct new building adjacent to existing classroom building as indicated and on existing asphalt training grounds. Elevate finish floor level approximately 12” above asphalt to match Existing Classroom finish floor elevation. Remove asphalt as required and provide compacted aggregate base and vapor barrier beneath concrete slab floor. • Construct new 4” thick reinforced concrete sidewalk and 5’-0” x 5’-0” apron as indicated. • Construct new 6” thick reinforced concrete overhead door apron as indicated. • Construct 4” thick reinforced concrete breezeway with vapor barrier and frost walls to below frost depth. • Construct concrete grade beam footing/retaining wall at existing slope. • Provide a new ¾” diameter water service to the new building. Verify water service installation with local utility and include all charges for water service installation in bid. • Provide a new 200-amp electric service to the new building. Verify electric service installation with local utility and include all charges for electric service installation in bid. • Tie new 4” diameter PVC sanitary waste service for new building into existing sewage ejector pump system on site. Remove and replace asphalt as required to complete the work. • “Mound” asphalt around new building up to finish floor elevation. Match existing Classroom construction. • “Mound” asphalt and install concrete breezeway in area between new and existing buildings as indicated. BUILDING PACKAGE / TRAINING ROOM: • Complete building system including foundations, nominal 6” X 6” laminated posts, R-19 wall and R-38 ceiling insulation. Graber Post, Hobgood, Morton, or equal. • Metal siding and wainscot profile and colors to match existing Classroom Building as closely as possible. • One (1) 14’ X 14’ insulated commercial overhead door with ¾ hp operator and heavy-duty track. • Two (2) 3’ X 6’-8” insulated metal passage doors in metal frames, with top half glazing, thresholds, closers and locksets. Paint metal doors and frames. • 6” sealed, reinforced concrete floor over vapor barrier and 4” compacted aggregate base at Multi-Purpose Room. • Metal gutters and downspouts with splash block for each downspout. • Plumbing for toilet room as indicated on the drawings. • Electrical panel with 200-amp main breaker, breakers as required for lights, receptacles and equipment, and spare single pole 20-amp breakers. • Circuitry, ceiling liner panel surface mounted LED light fixtures, switches, receptacles as indicated. • Exit/Emergency lights as indicated. • Exterior LED wall pack lights as indicated. • Finishes: As indicated on drawings. Generally, sealed concrete floors, metal liner panel walls to 8’-0” and metal liner panel ceiling. See schedule for addition finishes at toilet room. • Fifty (50) gallon electric water heater.
