Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of Montana, Department of Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) seeks a contract with an experienced firm who can identify and prioritize restoration opportunities that would improve the health of the Smith River watershed. This study will take a systematic approach to identify areas of degradation, solutions to improve, and prioritize them based on how much of a benefit he project would have to improving the health of the watershed. The work will include a study that shall assess all aspects of watershed health including water quality, water quantity, and stream and riparian habitat, and address potential impacts from land use activities, such as infrastructure, recreational activities, bank stabilization, trash/debris, grazing, and others. The study must also address potential impacts from natural processes such as floods and fires. The study will identify opportunities to improve water quality and water quantity.
