Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1 Awarded Vendors shall perform work according to the City of Lincoln Standard Specifications for Municipal Construction 2021, or the most updated version, unless specifically required by the department to follow another guideline which takes precedence over the bid documents.: 3.1.1 Exclusions include liquidated damages unless otherwise addressed with the Contract Administrator.; 3.2 Vendors shall provide paver repair and replacement services including removing and disposing, removing, and salvaging, and installing of clay, concrete, and other decorative pavers (including permeable pavers), as well as the restoration of setting beds/bedding courses to address settling issues, and the re-sanding of paver joints. Related paver services may also include the removal of existing concrete and the installation of new concrete bases for pavers to sit on.; 3.3 Repair and replacement paver projects will typically focus on removing and salvaging a portion of existing paver fields, restoring the setting bed to address vertical displacements and drainage issues if needed, and then reinstalling the removed pavers. In cases where the pavers themselves are intact, replacement pavers might not be required. When replacement pavers are needed due to cracking or deterioration of the existing pavers, or because of a desire by the Owner to replace the existing pavers with a different paver type, the Vendor shall coordinate with the Owner in locating an appropriate paver product and supplier for this replacement material. In some instances, the Owner may already have a stock of replacement pavers available for use by the Vendor.; 3.4 Vendors shall also provide retaining wall repair and replacement services for removing and disposing of, removing, and salvaging, and installing of modular block and limestone retaining walls. When replacement wall materials are needed, the Vendor shall coordinate with the Owner in locating an appropriate wall product and supplier.; 3.5 Prior to submitting a unit price quote, the Vendor shall meet onsite with an Owner representative to determine the appropriate quantities to be used in preparing the quote.; 3.6 Vendor shall be responsible for acquiring and paying for all permits, fees and licenses associated with the work to be done according to the Unit Price Quote Sheet.: 3.6.1 Permit, fees, and license costs shall be added to the Unit Price Quote Sheet prior to approval by the Owners.; 3.7 Contracted Vendors for this service will be notified via email or phone by the Owners Contract Administrator.: 3.7.1 Vendor has 48 hours to respond via email or phone to the request for a Unit Price Quote by the Owner to schedule a day and time to view the job.: 3.7.1.1 Failure to reply to a Quote request within 48 hours will allow the Owner to select from the respondents who did reply.; 3.7.1.2 Vendors who do not submit quotes or complete work as scheduled and required shall be subject to a Vendor Performance Meeting to discuss the situation and develop a strategy for compliance in the future.; 3.8 The Owners are requesting that all Unit Price Contractors be available to perform services during unforeseen emergency situations such as natural or man-made disasters.: 3.8.1 Vendors shall indicate in the Attribute section if they are willing to be available for these emergency services, and if so, at what rates.
