All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: Task 1- Project Management: Project Management duties will include preparing and maintaining a project schedule, tracking and managing scope and budget, progress status meetings, performing quality assurance and quality control on all deliverables and preparing monthly reports and invoices in a format acceptable to the Department.; Task 2- Production: The Service Provider will obtain documentation and/or existing load rating models from the Structures Division files. Scans of the original contract plans are available from the Department for most bridges. The Department will assign each firm’s Project Manager a Bentley AssetWise login for access to all inspection files. If the information needed to complete the load rating is incomplete, illegible, or otherwise unsuitable for performing the load rating of any bridge, a field visit may be necessary to collect additional data. The NDOT Structures Division Bridge Inspection Section may assist with this effort. The load rating analyses will use the material properties shown on the plans. If material properties are not indicated in the plans, values are taken from the AASHTO MBE or structures of similar type and era. Load Ratings will calculate the inventory, operating, SHV, EV, AASHTO Legals, and California P5-P13 Permit vehicle ratings. ; Task 3- QC Reviews: Each task order requires a calculation review of each assigned load rating. An independent engineer will review the load rating calculations. The load rating engineer and the check engineer will resolve any comments produced by the check engineer. Once the comments are resolved, the check engineer will sign the rating certifying that the load rating has been checked.; Task 4 - Load Rating Deliverables: The deliverables will follow the general guidelines outlined below. Additional and more detailed information regarding deliverables is found in the NDOT Load Rating Manual. Load Raters shall prepare and document load ratings using the Department provided excel spreadsheets; Task 5 - Load Rating Training: The Department may issue a task order or task orders for service providers to provide load rating training to NDOT personnel. The training may include general load rating procedures and use of load rating software
