Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Agriculture and Health Laboratory Building located in Saint Paul, Minnesota is seeking proposals for the removal and disposal of a second failed water heater, furnishment of a replacement water heater of equal size and specifications, and installation of replacement water heater. The first water heater failure replacement solicitation was SWIFT Event G0210-2000013033. All modifications to install the new water heater, such as but not limited to, supply and return water lines, gas lines, and venting must be provided by the responder. All labor, equipment, materials, tools, and transportation necessary for installation must be included.; The Contractor must: • Remove and dispose of failed water heater, expansion tank, and temperature gauge.; • Furnish and install the replacement water heater, expansion tank, and temperature gauge.; • Any water shut down will have to be completed after regular hours, 6:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M. Monday through Friday, or the weekend. Schedule work with Program Representative.; Requirements in Removal and Disposal of Failed Water Heater: • The failed water heater is a Power VT Water Heater, Model No. 560 P 125A-PV. See Exhibit E: Manufacturer’s Plate for Failed Water Heater.; • Contractor must shut off and drain the water heater and expansion tank if needed.; • Disconnect any natural gas, water supply and return lines, and vent piping.; • Disconnect failed water heater from concrete pad stand.; • Provide for transportation of failed water heater from the concrete pad and removal from location.; • Disposal of failed water heater is contractor’s responsibility and must conform to State and Federal laws for disposal of appliances that house possible hazardous materials.; Requirements for Furnishing and Installing Replacement Water Heater: • Replacement Water Heater should be a PVI Conquest, Model 40 L 130A-GCML, or an approved equal as determined by the State. An approved equal must have the equivalent capacity and specifications.; • A replacement expansion tank and temperature gauge proportional to the replacement water heater must be included.; • Water Heater Temperature is for General Purpose that feeds breakrooms, sinks, and eyewashes.; • Vertically installed.; • Contractor must be responsible for the transportation and attachment of replacement water heater onto the concrete pad at the location, including relocation of concrete anchors if needed.; • Reconnect any natural gas, water supply and return lines, and vent piping with modifications as necessary and approved by ordering entity.; • Install replacement expansion tank and temperature gauge.; • Perform startup and test the system for proper operation.
