Specifications include, but are not limited to: Selective demolition, cutting and patching of existing concrete 34 slab, and new CMU walls to create a new 120-sq.ft. enclosure out of an existing storage room. 35 The new ADA-compliant space will comprise single-user toilet facilities, locker space, and a roll36 in shower stall. Floor and wall-base will be thin-set ceramic tile and the shower compartment 37 will have full-height ceramic tile walls. CMU walls and exposed existing concrete plank ceiling 38 will be painted with epoxy paint. The single door will be aluminum/FRP hybrid in an aluminum 39 frame with ADA-accessible key-pad hardware. The space will include plumbing fixtures, metal 40 athletic lockers, ADA bench, and toilet accessories. Cutting and patching of an adjacent 41 existing ceramic-tiled Men’s Shower Room will be required for plumbing connections. 42 Temporary partitions will be necessary to keep existing shower room operational during 43 construction. The project includes adding new wall hung ADA water closet, wall hung lavatory, 44 shower valve and floor drains, and the new plumbing piping systems shall connect to nearby 45 existing plumbing piping systems. The Roof mounted exhaust fan that is exhausting this area 46 shall be changed from manual on/off control to Automatic control through existing Johnson 47 Controls BAS / DDC. The project includes existing Johnson Controls extended to existing fan 48 for automatic control of fan and fan damper based on occupancy schedule. There is also a 49 pitched steam condensate return line that is too low for the entry door into the new space, so 50 the line is to be re-routed to avoid conflict and preserve pitch to the mechanical room. 51 Contractor is to provide demolition of existing electrical devices and provide new lighting fixtures 52 and controls, new general convenience receptacles, new connection to relocated plumbing equipment, and new fire alarm devices associated with the renovation. The new circuits are to 2 be connected to existing circuits or new circuit breakers in existing panelboards. The new fire 3 alarm devices are to be connected to the existing fire alarm control panel.
