Specifications include, but are not limited to: Through this Request for Proposal (RFP) the Office of Purchasing & Contracting (hereinafter the “State”) is seeking to establish contracts with one or more companies that can provide New and Used Water Trailers with Parts and Service. 2.1.New Water Trailer: New stainless steel tank highway trailer(s) for the transport and application of wash water and salt brine in support of its highway maintenance activities. The trailer(s) shall meet or exceed the following minimum specifications: 2.1.1.Trailer shall have a minimum capacity of 5000 US gallons. 2.1.2.Trailer shall have tandem axles, and a 5th wheel hitch ready for use with a standard tractor unit. 2.1.3.Trailer shall have S cam style air brakes; wedge style air brakes will not be accepted. 2.1.4.Trailer shall be in good mechanical condition, inspected for legal operation on Vermont highways. 2.1.5.Trailer shall be a 2019 or newer model. 2.1.6.Tank, Tank Subframe and plumbing shall be constructed of stainless steel, suitable for use with water and/or brine solutions. 2.2.Used Water Trailer: used stainless steel tank highway trailer(s) for the transport and application of wash water and liquid salt in support of its highway maintenance activities. The trailer(s) shall meet or exceed the following minimum specifications: 2.2.1.Trailer shall have a minimum capacity of 5000 US gallons. 2.2.2.Trailer shall have tandem axles, and a 5th wheel hitch ready for use with a standard tractor unit. 2.2.3.Trailer shall have S cam style air brakes; wedge style air brakes will not be accepted. 2.2.4.Trailer shall be in good mechanical condition, inspected for legal operation on Vermont highways. 2.2.5.Trailer shall be a 2015 or newer model. 2.2.6.Tank, Tank Subframe and plumbing shall be constructed of stainless steel, suitable for use with water and/or brine solutions; Bidders shall provide pricing for shop labor, for repairs of Agency equipment, that is not covered by the factory warranty specified above. Any discount shall be honored by the winning bidder for the period of this contract and shall apply to all labor sold by the vendor, whether it be for the equipment awarded under this contract or not.
