Specifications include, but are not limited to: Reviews casework in either electronic or hard copy format and must be computer literate. Evaluates medical and lay evidence provided electronically or in hard copy to determine its adequacy for making disability decisions and makes telephone calls to appropriate resources to obtain necessary information. Assesses the severity of impairments and the impact of process unification Social Security Rulings regarding claimant credibility, symptoms and medical source opinion on the functional capacities or limitations imposed by the totality of the case evidence. Reviews requests for consultative examinations in specific claims to assure the consultative examinations are necessary and that the requested examination will resolve the case issues as intended. Serves as signator on required medical scripts for imaging, pulmonary function studies, speech and language assessment and other labs as needed to satisfy DI 22501.001 D which instructs us that the evidence we receive must be complete and detailed enough to permit an independent determination about whether the claimant is disabled or blind
