Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is requesting bids from qualified contractors to repair the Fire Station 3-3 parking lot; This project’s purpose is to improve the gravel apron at Fire Station 3-3 located at 15855 E. Clark Road in Palmer, Alaska. The area to be improved is approximately 2500 square feet. The project will include the following elements: • Excavation of 230 cubic yards of in-situ soils • Proof-roll existing subgrade prior to placement of geotextile and fill • Install Geotextile for Separation over subgrade prior to placement of fill • Place 24” of Porous Backfill Material, Gradation A per SSHC 703-10 • Install Geotextile for Separation over Porous Backfill Material • Place 6” of Surface Course, Gradation E-1 See Typical Section, Attachment #1 for more detail. Construction shall be completed in accordance with the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Standard Specifications for Highway Construction (SSHC) 2020 Edition. Project specific special provisions are provided in the following sections. The requirements contained in these specifications and special provisions are hereby made a part of this solicitation and resultant contract.
