Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified contractors to perform tree removals for the Douglas County Health Center Campus, located at 42nd and Woolworth Ave., Omaha, NE. ● Remove all trees designated for removal. ● Vehicles and other equipment to be used by the Contractor are to be operated within County-defined limits on the property, as coordinated by the County’s Environmental Services Department. A staging area will be field-defined with the Contractor. ● No vehicles of any kind will be allowed inside the Cavanaugh Courtyard fence. Use of a crane, positioned outside of the fence, is allowed and encouraged to remove the green ash tree. ● For the green ash and seven (7) pine trees, the flush cut stumps are to remain. The remaining stumps must be cut to be flush with the existing grade. ● For the two honeylocust trees, in addition to removing the above ground portion of the tree, grind out the stumps a minimum of 8” below grade, remove stump grindings, and fill with clean backfill to match the existing grade. ● Remove and dispose of all debris, with the exception of wood chips which can remain on site in a designated area as coordinated with Environmental Services’ staff. If debris is taken to a landfill it must be taken to the Douglas County Pheasant Point Landfill. Contractor to identify where the debris will be taken. ● Repair all areas disturbed during this work.
