Specifications include, but are not limited to: •Asbestos abatement:oRemove all HVAC ducts containing asbestos (paper insulation). New ductwork should be installed toeliminate the current sweating issues that are leading to mold growth on walls in attic. Additionalinsulation should be added to the ductwork to prevent future mold growth.•Mold abatement:oExhaust fans should be added to all bathroomsoMold should be properly cleaned/removed in the stairway to the attic after the ductwork issues arecorrectedoThe dryer vent in the basement should be routed outside of the houseoThe basement should be cleaned of mold spores and additional ventilation added to prevent future moldgrowth (see report from Morris & Associates).•Renovation: As part of the abatement process, proposals for the following renovations are requested:oProvide a quote for upgrading all electrical in the house (new wiring, outlets, etc.); this quote should beseparate as the price/budget will determine the feasibility of incorporating the electric renovations in thescope of this project.oRepair/Seal roof flashing around east chimney where leaks have been observed in Master Bedroomsitting roomoMaster Bedroom/BathroomRemove existing walls and closet systems (marked with white “X”s on attached drawings•Wall between closet and bedroom•Wall/built-in dresser between bathroom and bedroom•Wall between shower and tub.
