Specifications include, but are not limited to: The work under this Contract shall include providing a detailed service plan outlining a yearly District-wide support plan and expanding the existing cohorts of focus schools to accelerate literacy learning for grade Kindergarten through 3rd grade students to reach the District’s vision of all children reading on grade level by grade (3) three. Plan will include specificity around District-wide and school cohort supports for up to 18 schools and up to 220 teachers to serve up to 4,310 students, including enhanced coaching, professional learning, data collection and leadership support. 3.1.1 Firm(s) will provide additional reports as reasonably requested by District. 3.1.2 Services will be performed at various District locations as determined and assigned by the District. The Service Plan will be a comprehensive professional learning plan that can ensure teachers are prepared to provide high-quality, early literacy instruction to all students. All professional learning services can be delivered in-person, virtually or in a hybrid mode, to be determined by the District’s Coordinator of Early Literacy The District is seeking a Firm to provide the following: a. A detailed Early Literacy Instructional support plan, as is described in the RFP Documents (“Support Plan”) that is District-wide and also includes school cohort supports for eight and up to eighteen District schools with approximately 89 teachers. The Support Plan must take into account and support the District’s plans to increase the school cohort support to up to 220 teachers within two years. The services to be provided by the successful Firm shall include, but not be limited to, support for literacy coaching, professional learning on best practices in literacy, including instruction, literacy environment and classroom culture, data collection, and leadership support. b. A Support Plan that will support one-on-one teacher coaching by the Early Literacy Lead Coach (“Lit Lead”) to enable each Kindergarten through Third grade teacher in the cohort schools to receive differentiated support to take and extend what they learn in group settings, and apply and refine it in the classroom setting. This content-based coaching approach will be centered on lesson design with a focus on student learning.
