Specifications include, but are not limited to: The general scope of work for this project is as follows: a. Resurface Market Street (10th Street – 11th Street) following the procedure outlined below: a. Edge mill 1.5 inches of existing asphalt from face of curb to a distance adequate to provide proper tie-in within the specified length according to Construction Drawings. Milling around inlets (if required) should be to a depth sufficient to provide proper transition. The maximum allowable vertical difference between top of grate and top of asphalt shall be 3/4". Inlets not in conformance shall be raised. In no case shall the top of grate project above the top of asphalt. b. Place 0.5 inch hot laid bituminous asphalt scratch/leveling course after edgemilled pavement removal. c. Place 1.0 inch hot laid bituminous asphalt wearing course after application of scratch/leveling course. b. Apply polymer-modified trackless tack (NTSS-1HM) before paving per product specifications. c. Adjust water valve(s), manhole(s), and inlet(s) where applicable. The adjustment will be completed by the use of precast iron risers similar to those manufactured by East Jordan or equal. Sealing on the inside of the riser ring will be required for all sanitary manholes. See attached specification, an equivalent product may be used. d. After completion of road resurfacing the contractor shall install pavement markings as shown on Construction Drawing. Contractor is to field verify that the placement of pavement markings appropriately align with locations of existing lines/dashes adjacent to project area to ensure proper transitions. All markings shall be made in compliance with the current WV DOH specifications.
