The 119th Wing is conducting preliminary Market Research to determine an available pool of Small Business vendors who are able to provide an automated tool control (ATC) system – tool storage and control system.
Requirements:
General Specifications:

- Tool storage and control system to track individual tools by the user without the use of bar codes, scanners, RFID tags or other add-ons
- No limitation on tool size
- Touch screen
- Must detect when tools have been returned or removed
- Automatic locking
- Warnings – to include door not closed, wrong tool placement, etc.
- Plug and Play system
- 8 drawers in the tool box – must be able to hold approximately 750 tools
- All tools with the ATC would come laser etched with a vehicle maintenance identifier, preventing theft and tracking if found outside of the shop
- Voltage 110V
- 54” platform with casters Tool set to be included
- Standard 1 year Warranty
- Comes with software and scanner, must be able to manage software from a central computer
- Unlimited number of users
- Networking to be Ethernet or wireless
- Different drawer configuration options available
- Access to box to be controlled by a badge which provides user identification to the system
- Must be able to generate reports such as, tools frequency of use, inspection and calibration dates, active users and history, etc.
- Drawer control safety
Installation is required at ND Air National Guard, 1400 32nd Ave N., Fargo, ND 58102. The contractor shall, provide all personnel, supervision, and any items and services necessary to provide and install the above ATC tool box, along with on-site training.
