All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: Class H Lightweight concrete shall be used for bridge decks and other bridge elements when designated in the Plans.; Class H Lightweight Concrete shall have an oven-dry density of 115 ± 5 lb/ft3 when tested in accordance with ASTM C567. The average result of the rapid chloride permeability tests performed on both batches in the mix design shall not exceed 1750 coulombs.; Ultra High Performance Concrete: The Contractor shall furnish all materials, tools, and labor necessary for the performance of all work to form, cast, finish, and cure Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC) where required per plan. Before casting UHPC for actual construction, the Contractor will cast mockups to demonstrate the ability to properly cast the UHPC.; UHPC manufacturers shall submit product data sheets and test reports from an AASHTO accredited independent testing laboratory for UHPC testing showing that the product meets the requirements of this Special Provision. Any change of materials or material sources shall require a submission of new test reports by an AASHTO accredited independent testing laboratory for UHPC testing showing conformance of the UHPC with this Special Provision. The UHPC concrete mixture described in this Special Provision shall be used at all locations specified in the Contract Plans.; Elastomeric Bearing Assemblies: This work shall consist of furnishing and installing laminated elastomeric bearing pads and guides in accordance with these specification and as detailed at locations indicated on the plans. ; Elastomeric Bearing Assemblies: The structural steel components of the bearing assembly shall be shop fabricated and finished where required in accordance with Section 615. The anchor bolts shall be grouted into formed holes in the substructure units. The grout shall attain its full-strength prior to tightening of anchor bolt nuts. The tolerance for these anchor bolts is extremely critical since the holes in the bearing assembly masonry plates are not significantly larger than the anchor bolts. Anchor bolts shall not be placed in drilled holes. All components of the reinforced elastomeric pads shall be fabricated, tested and accepted in accordance with the requirements of the AASHTO LRFD Construction Specifications, Section 18, corresponding to design Method B. Prior to shipment, the bearing assembly shall be fully assembled, blocked and secured into position, and wrapped with a waterproof covering. The bearing assembly shall not be unwrapped until the bearing components are ready to be set into their final position in the bridge.
