Specifications include, but are not limited to: .Random selection of COUNTY employees to be tested. Fifty (50) percent of impactedworkforce will be tested each year for substance abuse and twenty-five (25) percent ofthe impacted workforce will be tested each year for alcohol use. These quantities maybe adjusted periodically, and as specified by the COUNTY. The employees to be testedare those whose positions require the possession of Commercial Drivers Licenses(CDL’s).B.Testing of individuals to be hired for positions which require the possession ofCommercial Drivers Licenses (CDL’s) and staff members holding Commercial DriversLicenses (CDL’s) involved in traffic mishaps, meeting thresholds identified in YumaCounty Policy Statement on Testing for Substances of Abuse, Section VI - Reason forTesting, Item four (4) Post Accident which reads:*Following the occurrence of an accident which has resulted in loss of life, a vehicle thatwas towed, more than two (2) individuals were transported by ambulance or theissuance of a citation by law enforcement authorities, a urine substance screening mustbe done within thirty-two (32) hours of the accident and an alcohol test must be donewithin two (2) hours of the accident. Under most circumstances, it is expected bothprocedures will be conducted concurrently.
