All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2023 CRACK SEAL MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS MD-2779 1. MATERIAL The material shall be a Polymeric Asphalt – Rubber Sealant for roadway crack filling and used with a hot asphalt kettle with pressure hose for applying. The Polymeric Asphalt - Rubber Sealant shall meet all of the requirements of ASTM D6690 Type II (AASHTO M324) or exceeds them and shall be packaged in Tyvex packaging material instead of cardboard box packaging material. The Supplier shall include a copy of the specifications for the proposed material to be supplied with their bid documents. The supplier shall conduct laboratory tests on all material supplied and shall certify that the material meets or exceeds the specifications. The Supplier shall deliver to Ada County High-way District (ACHD) a certification signed by an authorized representative that all material delivered meets or exceeds specifications. Two (2) copies of the sealant manufacturer's recommendations for preparation, handling, mixing, and application shall be furnished to the ACHD at the time of the first order delivery. The Supplier shall furnish a current SDS sheet with each shipment of Crack Sealing Material. 2. DELIVERY OF MATERIAL The Crack Sealing Material shall be delivered on wooden pallets with a total weight of no more than 3,000 pounds per pallet. Each pallet shall be moisture protected with a plastic wrapping and bound with a minimum of two (2) layers of UV resistant stretch wrap. Material shall be packaged in Tyvex bags and shall weigh no more than thirty (30) pounds per bag. Cardboard and/or foam plastic boxes will not be acceptable. The Crack Sealing Material shall be able to be delivered to two separate ACHD facilities at: 1) Cloverdale Maintenance, 440 North Cloverdale Avenue, Boise, Idaho, 2) Adams Maintenance, 3730 Adams Street, Garden City, Idaho. 3. MATERIAL DELIVERY PERIOD The delivery period for this bid shall be through September 30, 2023.
