Specifications include, but are not limited to: Stagehands and Technicians provided to Mesa Arts Center (MAC) Clients’ events when requested shall include supervisors, riggers, department heads, stage flyrail operators, stage electricians, stage carpenters, audio technicians, stage properties, video technicians, followspot operators, forklift operators, truck loaders, and wardrobe personnel. Basic job skills required of these technicians shall include, but are not limited to: Steward/Supervisor: Must meet the requirements of Head Carpenter. Ability to implement the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Working Rules and Conditions. Ability to check in and out crew. Ability to find replacement crew when needed. Ability to communicate with MAC Staff and MAC Clients to ensure that event needs are being met.; Head Carpenter: Must meet the requirements of the following positions: Head Flyrail Operator Stage Carpenter Head Props Must be IATSE Certified to operate MEWPs.; Carpenter/Stagehand: Must have attended IATSE 336 Basic Stagehand Training Must provide the following tools for every shift: Flashlight Philips Screwdriver Flathead Screwdriver Crescent Wrench (six inch (6”) or eight inch (8”); Head Flyrail Operator: Must meet the requirements of a Flyrail Operator. Must be able to organize the actions of other flyrail operators to ensure that flyrail movements happen a coordinated, efficient, and safe manner. Must be able to interpret drawings and other paperwork (flyrail cue sheets, instrument lists, weight lists, etc.) to successfully execute an event.
