Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide Pre-Employment/Post Offer Physicals for KDOT applicants in designated job class series who are located in various offices throughout the State of Kansas. The Physical will be based on the Work Simulation Exam for the specific KDOT job class. These positions are statewide, and the contractor will need to have an established base of exam sites to limit the amount of travel necessary for prospective employees to perform the simulation exams. KDOT does not require a US DOT medical exam. Pre-Employment/Post-Offer Physicals shall consist of, but not be limited to: A. Obtaining consent forms B. Obtaining KDOT specific medical history relative to the work to be performed and documenting the medical history. C. Performing comprehensive medical physical tests for job candidates for KDOT’s physically demanding jobs as identified by job class series. Comprehensive medical physical test shall include, at a minimum, the following: 1. Heart rate, pulse 2. Blood pressure 3. Audiometric testing or forced air whisper tests 4. Static grip strength evaluation 5. Vision acuity, including color vision and depth perception 6. Height and weight 7. Musculoskeletal evaluation which includes: 8. Posture 9. Flexibility 10. Reflexes.
