Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1.The State of Vermont is interested in obtaining bids to meet the following business need(s): 2.2.Without notification from the State, the Contractor will plow all snowfall of two inches or more, or at the end of each snow fall. 2.3.Snow may need to be moved around the site, pushed up with a loader, or removed from the site. When the snow needs to be hauled from the site, the contractor will need to dispose of it properly. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to have a location where snow can be disposed. Please fill out the bid “Price Schedule” for the equipment you will be using to perform these services. Where applicable, the driver/operator must be CDL certified. 2.4.Snow removal services for these sites will be 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. At no time should there be more than 4 inches of snow on the parking lots or driveway areas. Other than select locations such as Historic Preservation Sites which are normally closed during the winter season. 2.5.The Contractor shall take care not to damage buildings, site lighting, bollards, guardrails, curbs, automobiles, equipment, or any other appurtenance state or privately owned. The Contractor will make all necessary repairs to material damaged during these services. Determination of the need for and extent of the repair is the sole discretion of the State of Vermont Contract Coordinator. Contractor to notify the contract coordinator and onsite maintenance personnel of any damage that has been done within 12 hours and as soon as possible for damage to electrical equipment, supply, water utility, life safety, or similar. 2.6.The Contractor shall be responsible for incidental, and emergency calls for removing snow that may interfere with State operations at these sites. 2.7.The Contractor shall always provide adequate supervision of his/her employees to ensure complete and satisfactory performance of all work in accordance with the terms of the contract. The contractor will always have a responsible supervisor on the job when the work of the contract is being carried out. 2.8.The Contractor and his/her employees will be subject to all State and Federal regulation for the conduct of personnel. 2.9. Subcontractors will need to be approved by the contract coordinator before they can perform any duties as a part of the contract. 2.10. Contractors shall not utilize state - owned equipment and or property to perform any part of these services without approval from a Supervisor or District Facility Manager.
