Specifications include, but are not limited to: replacement, upgrades, and accessories to two identified building Air Conditioning units with Natural Gas Furnaces and five-ton DX split evaporator units and outdoor compressor/condenser, one identified ceiling hung four-ton FAN COIL Split DX unit at the El Paso Hondo Pass Area Driver’s License Office. In Summary, A TOTAL OF THREE (3) air conditioning systems will be replaced with new. Refer to the provided Summary of Work, along with provided drawings and specifications for all information. This project will further upgrade all building air conditioning units from refrigerant R-22 to R-410A.; 1. Contractor will provide all equipment, labor, materials, and any needed rental equipment to remove, replace and dispose of the existing Gas Furnace A/C units. The existing units are listed below: (see extent of new work below, everything demolished will be replaced under this contract): a. Two (2) NG Up-Flow Furnaces with 5 ton each split DX Evaporator Coil and outdoor condenser/ compressor. Systems tagged Unit #1 and #2.; b. One (1) – Four (4) ton horizontal Split Fan Coil air handler system above lobby lay-in ceiling. System tagged Unit #3. Existing overflow pan to be saved and reused in the proposed installation.; c. Remove from site all damaged 2’x4’ lay-in ceiling tile in the Lobby Area and re-install new to match existing. Amount is currently 10%.; 2. Contractor will provide and install all new: a. Two (2) – Up-Flow Furnaces 92MB heat output each and with 5 ton each split Encased Evaporator coil and outdoor compressor/ condenser. Units will be paired same as existing to provide a combined delivery of 184 MBTU heating and 10 tons of cooling. Tagged Units #1 and #2. Refer to Section 23 81 26 DX Split System air conditioning (all equipment needed) air conditioning.; - Provide new 2” MERV 8 filter section on UNIT #3. Provide all necessary insulated ductwork, hangers, to install Unit and access new filter section and to allow maintenance to access for filter change out. Further provide new transition section from filter frame inlet to the lay-in ceiling return air register.; - Fan Coil/ frame is to be level to ensure unit condensate lines drain properly. If necessary, provide leveling isolation pads.; - The contractor is responsible for the constructability to ensure the assembly alignment of the Furnace blower units, the Encased Evaporator Coil sections, new filter sections, the transitions to the supply/ return air / outside air ductwork are buildable, provide maintenance accessibility and comply with manufacturer’s installation requirements (i.e.. warranty). The contractor to provide all necessary materials to provide a complete and workable installation.; b. One (1) – Horizontal four (4) ton DX Split Fan Coil air handler system is suspended above the building lobby delivers supplementary cooling along with two stage compressors. Electric heating strip is provided but set at 40-degree F. Auxiliary sheet metal external secondary spill pan will be reused, cleaned, and reinstalled. Unit’s internal secondary pan will be provided a float switch to shut unit off. Tagged Unit #3. Refer to Section 23 81 26 DX Split System air conditioning (all equipment needed) air conditioning.; - Provide new 2” MERV 8 filter section on UNIT #3. Provide all necessary insulated ductwork, hangers, to install Unit and access new filter section and to allow maintenance to access for filter change out. Further provide new transition section from filter frame inlet to the lay-in ceiling return air register; c. All new outdoor condensing units will be placed and anchored in the same footprint occupied by the existing units. If concrete is damaged, perform repairs.; d. Provide a new filter section on Unit #3 to accept 2” MERV 8 filter. Provide all necessary ductwork, hangers, to install Unit and access new filter section and to allow maintenance to access for filter change out. Further provide new transition section from filter frame inlet to the lay-in ceiling return air register.; e. Three (3) New Digital programmable thermostats – Located where existing thermostats were remove and corresponding to proper AHU # A/C . Honeywell model TH6320U2008 thermostat; f. Disconnect switches (the whips between the wall-mounted disconnects and the units will be made of steel reinforced sealtite conduit (or equal) and have the properly wire sized appropriately for the ampacity of the unit
