Specifications include, but are not limited to: variety of repairs and improvements consisting of repairing the exterior waterproofing alongthe perimeter of the building(s), including the required excavation, regrading and landscaping;power wash the masonry facades to remove unwanted mildew, stains etc... repoint, tuckmasonry joints and repainting other metal type features along the exterior perimeter;replacement of the fire alarm system and PA system (Alternate); replacing and providing new exterior and interior lighting; HVAC upgrades at various areas (i.e. IDF/MDF rooms);replacement of existing gym windows with new energy efficient glazing systems; andreplacement of existing floor materials with new (VCT, carpet, and base) in the school.(Special Note, an asbestos survey has been conducted that has identified, classified, andquantified areas consisting of (ACM). Prior to planned disturbances or demolition activitiesbased on scope, asbestos report shall be reviewed. Abatement scope will be under theGeneral Contractor). New work will include a new marquee sign, secured (internal) entryvestibule, and new staff toilet located on the south side of the school; a covered canopystructure for one of the existing playground structures; wall padding and acoustical treatmentin the gymnasium, and new acoustical ceiling systems (where applicable). In addition (as analternate) the existing entry steps located on the west side facing McKinney are to be removedand replaced.
